Paris

We enjoyed our time in Paris very much!!!!

My Birthday in Paris

It was so fun to celebrate my birthday while in Paris. We went to The Palace of Versailles that morning. Then later in the afternoon, we went to St. Chapelle. On the way back, as Nate and I were walking around the city, we got a little lost, ran into a riot of some sort, and then finally made it home. We were so thrilled to have some "French Pizza" for dinner! It was yummy!

Boat Ride!

While in Paris, we decided to take a boat ride down the Seine River. It was a wonderful opportunity to see several famous landmarks. We all were able to sit down on the ride, too, which was nice since we had been walking everywhere.

The Louvre

You can't go to Paris and not see The Louvre. We were able to check out the Mona Lisa, which was much smaller than I had expected. The cousins had a great time hanging out. They were more interested in laughing than looking at the art. So cute!!

St. Chapelle

Sainte Chappelle is a beautiful chapel. The stained glass tells the story of several books of the bible, both the Old and New Testament.

The Palace of Versailles

This was an amazing place to visit. I just can't imagine what life must have been like that long ago.

Eiffel Tower

Well, we got to see the Eiffel Tower (how can you miss it) in the city. We never made it up close, but I'm so proud of my brother's family as they got up REALLY early and took both of their girls to the top! How cool!

Arc de Triomphe

You can't go to Paris and not see the Arc de Triomphe!!

The Baron Haussmann

While we were in Paris, we were on a mission to find Haussmann Street. The Baron Haussmann was an influencial man during the 1800s as he laid out the streets of Paris and worked on several "Early City Planning" responsibilities. It just so happens that we are related to him. How neat :)

Montmartre

This is a fun local area where artists literally walk the street and ask to paint a picture for you on the spot. It has several art galleries and fun shops to browse. This was a super destination to see!

Sacre Coeur

This is another beautiful church in Paris, which is located in the highest point in the city.

Notre Dame

One of the first things we saw in Paris was Notre Dame. It was an amazing and majestic church.

The Trip To Paris

We took the EuroStar to get to Paris from London. The train was very fast! It was fun!

We made it!

Well, we made it to Europe and back with our nine month old!! What a trip! We had a fantastic time visiting my brother's family in Cambridge, England. It was so fun seeing a different part of the world. We also all went to Paris, France for a long weekend. Luke had so much fun hanging out with his cousins, Jillian and Cambria. Thank you Brad and Lauren for making our stay so special!

A Day in Ely, England

Here are some pics from a beautiful city in England. Ely is north of Camridge, apparently only about 90 miles from the North Sea. It was chilly the day we were there. We took a train to get to Ely. We visited the Ely Cathedral; you can't miss it. Some parts of it were built over 1000 years ago!!!! So amazing!!
