Luke is TWO!

On June 28, 2009, Luke celebrated his second birthday. He is growing up so fast and is learning so much each day. It's a blast to hang out with him and watch him try to make sense of our world. We tried to show him how to hold up two fingers for his age, but he kept insisting on just one :)
My hope is that each day he learns more and more about how much Jesus loves him as Nate and I try to show him love in all moments. Nothing could thrill me more than to know that Luke learns about Jesus and follows him as his Lord and Savior. What a blessing to pray for! He had a wonderful birthday and we look forward to celebrating a little more with grandparents over the 4th of July weekend, too! Happy Birthday Luke!!

Father's Day Weekend

Luke and Daddy had so much fun together for Father's Day Weekend. One of the highlights was using our little blue pool - which both Nate and Luke got in. It was hilarious! They made their own wave pool and everything.

The Phone in Houston

Luke has started to really grasp how a phone works, from saying "hello" at the beginning of his "conversation" to "bye-bye" at the end. He is very talkative as long as there is no one actually on the phone. The moment someone is on the phone, he become completely silent. So funny! I think he doesn't expect that there is actually someone on the other end.

Time with Grandma and Grandpa

Luke had such a memorable time with Grandma and Grandpa in Houston. From playing with toys, always watching and "looking" at the ceiling fan, to reading books before bed, Luke enjoyed each moment!

Houston in June - The Pool

We went to Houston for a long weekend to visit Grandma and Grandpa. It was so much fun; very relaxing. And, Luke really enjoyed spending time with his grandparents. One of the highlights was the Pool that Grandma and Grandpa set up for him. He loved playing in the water and cooling down. Luke also enjoyed playing with some of his daddy's old toys, fun new trucks, and shovels!

Church

Luke has been just growing and growing. Here's some fun pictures that we took after church one Sunday in June. He loves going to church and seeing his friends at "Sunday School". I've learned that I can't say the word church unless we are actually on the way! One Saturday night I told him that we would be going to church "tomorrow". Well the "Tomorrow Concept" is still a little bit beyond him. He thought we were going right then. We had buckets of tears, but at least the next morning, when we were able to say we were going to church, he was thrilled :)

More Fire Station Pics

Here's some more fire station pics.

The Keller Fire Station

The new Keller Fire station had an OPEN house that we attended at the beginning on June. Luke loved looking at all the firetrucks and equipment. Daddy had lots of fun, too! Luke also wanted to wear daddy's yellow hat.
