Smiles

Here's a few new smiles to enjoy!

Sunglasses!

Yes, even though this post is about sunglasses, I want to focus on Luke's shoes for a moment. Luke has on boots in this picture. It was the day before Rodeo Day at school, and he was SO excited about wearing them. The funny thing is that I found them the day before at Walmart for $1.50!!! (Talk about waiting 'til the last minute. But we are ready for next year, because at that price, I went ahead and bought the next size!)

So, recently, Luke and Ruth Ann have really been into wearing sunglasses. It cracks me up. Sometimes Ruth Ann will play with them on inside the house for a long time! They really enjoy wearing them!

"Baby" Dedication

This picture above sums up the Baby Dedication morning :)

The same weekend that we enjoyed Thomas the Train on Saturday, Luke and Ruth Ann had their "baby" dedication at church on Sunday. Yes, I know....they are not exactly babies, but better late than never? Anyway, it was an eventful morning. Truly, both kids were exhausted from the day before and all the excitement of being with both grandparents, so they were a little tired on Sunday morning. Luke chose to be very nice and sweet during the dedication on Sunday morning; however, Ruth Ann had a different idea. She chose to scream and not be quite so happy in front of the congregation. It was a moment to remember. Nate and I selected Life Verses for each child and they read that Bible verse to the congregation. We chose Matthew 5:16 for Luke and 1 Timothy 4:12 for Ruth Ann. We hope to truly make those verses a part of their lives each day. We were also joined by two other families dedicating their children, as well. It was a special morning and I'm so thankful that both sets of grandparents and Uncle Jon and Aunt Kristie were able to join us.

Thomas the Train

What a weekend! A few weeks ago in March, we visited Thomas the Train in Grapevine. Luke and Ruth Ann had a blast! Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi, and Pawpaw for joining us! I think the funniest thing was Luke making his "chug, chug, chug" hand motions as he pretends he is actually a train! (He also was "chugging" this past week like a train, as the line-leader for his class at school.)

Family Pic from February

The Train in Grapevine

One weekend, back in February, we visited a train that is "stationed" in Grapevine. Luke LOVED seeing it and climbed all the way to the top with his daddy.

Before church....back in January

The School Pic

Back in January, Luke and Ruth Ann had their "School" picture taken. Let me just say that the professional photo did not turn out very well of either of them. But, the quick snapshot I got of them that morning, turned out pretty good :)

Back in January

One weekend back in January, Nate was home with Luke while I was out doing something (I can't remember what...). When I came home, I got to see the HUGE Tower that they built out of the MEGA blocks. There's something about BLOCKS and BOYS that just goes together. I would never have thought of putting all the blocks together like this! AMAZING!

A little bit delayed...

Well, here is our Christmas Card picture...

Since I was sick with pneumonia over the Holidays and we forgot our camera when we went to Houston for Christmas, we don't have many Christmas pictures of our own. I will try to put some old pics in, but maybe after this post I will just start fresh!

Here's to a Happier 2011!
