10 Year Anniversary!

Nate and I celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary on March 9th! I truly cannot believe it's been 10 years! It seems like just yesterday that we got married, but at the same time, it also feels like a while once we look back on all the things God has allowed in the last 10 years :)

Nate had been out of town the entire week prior to our anniversary. He flew home on the morning of our anniversary and surprised me with a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers - my favorite because of ALL the colors! We were able to hang out as a family that day and spend some fun time together. We had arranged for a babysitter for that evening. (The kids love Sloane :) Then, he took me out to Bob's. It's a steakhouse in Grapevine and it was DELICIOUS! To top off our yummy meal, we ordered their signature dessert - a brownie sundae. The waitress brought us two separate servings of ice cream so we could each have the flavor we wanted. Needless to say, we had to bring more than half of it home. The entire day was a wonderful celebration with my best friend! Here's to many more!

Spirit Day, Tea Time, and Play Time

The kiddos were home from school. It was spirit day, so they had on their spirit shirts!

Ruth Ann was having a tea party and served some tea to all of her friends. It was a fun time!

Here's a few pics of our fun play time! Ruth Ann likes lining up all of her friends to watch TV. You can find her having all sorts of conversations with her friends. It cracks me up because she will be telling them all sorts of things that I've told her. Guess who the mama is?

Pizza Night!

Guess who LOVES pizza?

A Few New Snapshots

Here's a few new snapshots of the kids. Happy Belated Valentines :)

After Christmas

We had a nice relaxing time after Christmas. Since Grandma was on Christmas Break, she stayed a little longer to enjoy her grand kids. On one of the days, Uncle Jon, Aunt Kristie, and baby Natalie came over for dinner. This is a quick snapshot of that evening. (Ruth Ann was not cooperating for the picture, and I think she just wanted to show-off her hair -which now has been trimmed :)

More Christmas Day Fun!

Ruth Ann was so excited about her new kitchen utensils and plates and bowls.

The kids have PLAYED and PLAYED with all of their gifts!

Christmas Day

We enjoyed celebrating Christmas this year with Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi, PawPaw, Uncle Jon, Aunt Kristie, and baby Natalie. We enjoyed a yummy brunch and a delicious Christmas dinner. It was so much fun being with everyone and the best part was that we were all WELL!! That made for a wonderful Christmas. Thanks to everyone for all their help with the food and treats!

Santa came to visit!

Santa came to visit our house for Christmas. The kids really enjoyed the fun surprise of Santa's gifts. Luke truly thought Santa came down our chimney. It was adorable! The picture of Luke near the fireplace shows his brain "thinking" about it. Santa brought Luke a train crossing guard and a new Leapfrog book. Ruth Ann received a kitchen from Santa. They both have enjoyed playing with all the gifts :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was full of excitement. Luke and Ruth Ann "helped" me bake all sorts of yummy food that day. Little did Ruth Ann know that she was getting a kitchen the very next day. She really needed it the day before! We made a chocolate trifle, and Christmas cookies for Santa, which Luke got to decorate later that day. Mimi and Pawpaw came over and surprised Luke and Ruth Ann with some yummy sugar cookies too; they were delicious. Then Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jon, Aunt Kristie, and baby Natalie came over. We went to the children's Christmas Eve candlelight service at 4:00. It was a sweet service that really focused on the best gift of all, Jesus. Then we came back to our house for yummy Taco Soup and the chocolate trifle. Delish! It was a special day.

Waffle Making

Luke is a big helper in the kitchen. He loves helping me make waffles on Saturday mornings. Here's a couple of recent pictures of him helping me :)

A Sunday in December

These pictures were taken the Sunday before Christmas. We were on our way to church and Nate snapped a couple of pics before we left. I love the picture where Ruth Ann is looking way up high to the top of the tree. She seems so amazed by it all.

Luke's December School Program

Luke had a December School Program and it was adorable to watch him sing. It was in the church sanctuary and Ruth Ann sat with us like such a big girl the entire performance! She was really entertained. Luke really enjoys music at school and he did such a great job! I'm hoping the videos will work?(I can't get the videos to upload... I will keep trying.) Luke loves to sing and I love that the songs are about Jesus, the most important part of Christmas.

December Family Pic

Ruth Ann looks so serious in this picture; I think the beeping camera light had her intrigued and a little scared. Oh well! Thanks Aunt Lauren for Ruth Ann's precious outfit! It is so adorable!
