Halloween 2010

Luke LOVED dressing up for Halloween this year. It was the first year that he was really excited way before the event. He was a Fire Fighter (Thanks Aunt Lauren for our costume!) And, Ruth Ann was a Ohio State cheerleader (Thanks Matt and Camille!) And, mommy was a flower (I had made it from file folders in our study for my class at school!) We were able to "trick-or-treat" around our block in our neighborhood. We were joined by our neighbors. It was a lot of fun!

A few new pics....

Luke and Ruth Ann were having a blast clapping together. It was so cute! We were on our way to church that morning. Hopefully they were excited about learning about Jesus :)
Ruth Ann was all dressed as a cheerleader ready to go to "school" for Costume Day, but Luke got sick so we stayed home. She was able to be a cheerleader again for Halloween.

Ruth Ann really enjoys the vacuum. It's so cute to watch her try to push it. She has to hold on to something while she works!

Cookies and ICE CREAM - YUM!

We had so much fun decorating cookies with ORANGE icing, of course. YUMMY! The cousins also enjoyed their trip to get ICE CREAM at Brewster's. What a great place. They have the cutest little ice cream cones for kids with smiley faces! Thanks for the fun activities, Brad and Lauren. We had a blast!

P.S. - Brad, it's probably best not to mix the cookie batter with a whisk! ha ha

More Navy Yard Pics

Luke LOVED climbing on all the boats and navy equipment!

Washington Navy Yard

Here are a few pics from the Washington Navy Yard. It was one of our sight-seeing trips while in DC. It was a beautiful day and we all enjoyed learning about some of our history of the Navy.

More From the Pumpkin Patch

Uncle Brad and Aunt Lauren treated Luke to a precious little pumpkin. Later, the kiddos decorated the pumpkins and we even brought it home on the plane. It is still sitting on our back porch. It reminds us of the fun time we had at the pumpkin patch with our cousins and family.
If you look closely on Luke's shirt, you can see his American Airlines 'Wings' stickers. One of the pilots on the plane gave them to him. He didn't want to take them off. He even slept in the stickers that first night.

Our Trip to Maryland - The Pumpkin Patch

We had a wonderful time in Maryland visiting my brother's family. We were able to spend time with Brad and Lauren and their three precious girls. The cousins had so much fun playing and hanging out. Thanks for a fantastic vacation! Look at this amazing pumpkin patch. It's REAL!! I'm still in shock. It makes the ones in Texas not seem so impressive!

Climbing and Srollin'

Ruth Ann LOVES to climb almost anything if you let her. She also has been enjoying pushing her stroller and Luke's truck to learn to walk. She has been getting better and better. She has just taken a few steps (about four or five) on her own. It's so exciting to watch her learn and grow!

Pics from the end of September

Here's a few pics from the end of September. Just wanted you to see our smiling faces :) Luke loves his swing set (he pretends that he is a fire fighter with his hose in the tall tower), and Ruth Ann loves her Fridge Magnets!

More Birthday Fun!

Here's our Birthday Girl!

Both Luke and Ruth Ann LOVE playing with the new Fridge Farm Animals.

A pink truck?? Seriously? She loves it!

Thanks Uncle Jon for putting together her new stroller! What a great gift!

Ruth Ann Turned One Sept. 2, 2010

Ruth Ann turned one on Sept. 2, 2010. I can't believe she is already one. WOW! She had a wonderful birthday, and was so blessed by her grandparents, aunts and uncles! It was a memorable day. Here she is "Walking" with both of her grandmother's hands. I love this picture!

Ruth Ann was not wild about her cake, as you can tell from her expressions. But, that's ok. It just meant more of the delicious stuff for us! (Luke especially liked it since it was chocolate!)

Summertime Fun! (Pics taken back in August!)

Luke truly LOVES his bike helmet. He gets so excited when he wears it. Sometimes he will wear it when he's riding his scooter.

These pictures were taken back in August, when Ruth Ann was just learning to "cruise" and hold on to things while standing. She was loving watching her daddy mow and edge outside. I think she was wishing she could go out there and help. Hopefully someday, both of our kids can help :)

First Day of School and Deana's Goodbye Party

Here I am behind again on my blogging, but I thought I would try to start somewhere....

Luke and Ruth Ann went to their first day of "school" on Tuesday, August 31st. Luke is officially in Pre-school this year, and Ruth Ann is in Mother's Day Out. (She normally just attends on Thursdays, but since it was the first official day of school and I had Meet the Teacher for my students, she went that Tuesday, too.)
It was a big day for both of them, meeting their new teachers and friends. They had a good time.
Then, after their first day, we had a goodbye-party for Deana at Fidelity. She has been Nate's administrative assistant for four years. We knew them at church, and they lived in our neighborhood, too. John and Deana have always been so sweet to our kids. We have been so sad to see them move to Oklahoma. But, they are now closer to their grandkids and I'm sure they are loving it! We miss them, and Nate especially misses all of Deana's help and organization at work.

July 2010

These are some pics from July, but I had to include them because I think they are so cute!
