Halloween 2011

This year for Halloween, Luke really understood how to "trick-or-treat". It was adorable watching him go from house to house. We had a great time and got to walk our neighborhood with our next-door neighbors and their four kids. It was a great time. Ruth Ann "strolled" around in the stroller and had a lolli-pop the entire time. She was so happy. The weather was beautiful that night.

If you are wondering...yes Luke is a fire fighter (thanks Aunt Lauren) again this year. He LOVES this costume so much he wanted to wear it again this year. Ruth Ann was a bunny, and mommy was a ladybug. How fun!

My not so little babies...

Love these two SO MUCH!! God is so good!

Snoopy Doggie

Doggie and Ruth Ann... Need I say more? Doggie (AKA Snoopy) is attached to her at ALL times. She carries doggie around like it is her own child. She lets doggie look at the window when we are driving somewhere. I'll catch her saying, "See doggie...look at that!". She feeds doggie her food, and lets doggie drink out of her sippie cup. She pushes doggie around in the stroller and on top of the truck. And, of course, doggie sleeps with her at night. They are inseparable. Please note the first picture: she has two doggies (one is for school, and one is for home) and she is wearing boots. I couldn't decide if that picture should go under the doggie section or the shoes section :)

Our "Old" Neighbors

Several weeks ago, our "old" neighbors, Brian and Paula, who now live in Georgia, came to Keller. Brian had a conference for work and Paula decided to come along. They moved away in 2006. By 2007, we had Luke in June, they had Troy in September. We had Ruth Ann in 2009 and they had Landon in 2010. Four kids born right after they moved away. Too bad they aren't still next door. (However, we have fantastic neighbors next door too, and they have four kids of their own! :)

Shoes

Ruth Ann LOVES shoes. Not just her shoes, but others! She likes mommy's shoes, daddy's shoes, and even Luke's shoes. I've "caught" her with putting on two shoes at once. She cracks me up! Please notice the picture where she is sitting in the high chair. She has on mommy's shoe and she ate her entire lunch with her foot at that crazy angle, so the shoe would stay on. It was the only way she would sit in her high chair and eat her lunch. Seriously?? Also, note Luke in the first picture where he has built his "house" out of pillows and is laughing so hard at me taking a picture of Ruth Ann and her shoes. He couldn't stop laughing.

The Ft. Worth Train

We went to ride the train in Ft. Worth, near the Ft. Worth Zoo. It was so much fun. Luke and Ruth Ann loved it! What's amazing is that I used to ride that train as a little girl. My parents would take me and I'm sure I had a blast then too. Enjoy the pics!

Ruth Ann turned 2! (September 2nd)

Ruth Ann turned 2 on September 2. I am really behind on blogging, but better late than never, right? She had a fun family party at our house. We ate yummy food and it was a beautiful day. We can't believe that our baby girl is two. She LOVES to sing and dance. She has so many funny facial expressions and really cracks us up. She also is determined to have things her way sometimes, and it can be difficult to "reason" with her.....she's two right? She insists on wearing two, no three, no four, no seriously, as many as seven at one time....hair bows in her hair. It's a little ridiculous. Ruth Ann is very sweet to Luke (most of the time), and likes to give him, hugs, kisses, pat-pats, and "loves". Sometimes she will just start singing out of the blue, songs that are on her mind, no prompting necessary; and she will sing and sing and sing the entire song! Ruth Ann does not like to take a nap at school, but is a great sleeper for naps and bedtime at home. She thinks she is the same age as Luke and they play together so well. We are so thankful for Ruth Ann and pray that she will continue to develop into a sweet girl who knows and loves Jesus.
