Daddy Time

Here's a few pics of Luke the week before Ruth Ann was born. He loves spending time with his daddy, which is great because, since we've been home from the hospital, they have been spending a lot of time together. He found Nate's shoes on the floor, put them on, and proceeded to walk quite well across the family room. He was so proud of himself. It was really cute!

The trip home....

We came home from the hospital last Sunday. We have enjoyed being home and spending lots of family time together. Ruth Ann is growing and changing before our eyes. I noticed yesterday that she is growing eyelashes - not to be outdone by her big brother!

Welcome Ruth Ann!

Ruth Ann Davis was born on September 2, 2009, at 10:12 in the morning. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 18.5 inches long. We are so thankful for our blessing from God. She has already touched our lives in so many ways. Can't wait to see what the future holds!

The Day Before my C-Section

The day before my C-Section was quite eventful. It was Luke's first day of school! He had a great day. He's in the Rhino class this year and loves his teachers. I'm hoping for a great year for him and lots of new learning opportunities. It was also my Meet the Teacher for my students. It was a lot of fun, as I got to see some of my returning students and was able to meet some of my new students. I'm looking forward to a fun school year myself!

In just one week....

In just one week, Ruth Ann will be here! I can't believe it! Even though it's probably been one of the warmer summers (it's actually 100 degrees as I'm writing this), it has not been too terrible to be pregnant in June, July, and August. Thank goodness for air conditioning! It's also interesting to see how things really are different with the second child. Compared to when I was pregnant with Luke, we have taken WAY less pregnant belly pictures than we did with Luke. I think I have a total of 4 pregnant belly pictures with Ruth Ann. (Hopefully we will do a better job once she is here!) So, here's one of the four total pictures. It was taken last week, when I was starting my 38th week.

Grandma and Grandpa came into town at the end of July for a baby shower. We enjoyed having them here. Luke always has a good time with his grandparents.
