Well, I don't know what inspired me to make chocolate cupcakes FROM SCRATCH for Luke's Birthday, but that's exactly what I did! It was fun, but an adventure at the same time. The temperature that day was well into the 90s and the homemade vanilla icing had a mind of its own! I have so much respect for anyone who bakes yummy goodies from scratch - it's such work! I will definitely be using "a box" next time.
